Triangular bandages - include in every first aid kit
Triangular bandages are best known for being used to provide an arm sling to help immobilise and stabilise the upper body. Triangular bandages can use used for suspected fractures, sprains, strains and any other injury that benefits from immobilisation.
Triangular bandages can also be used to help elevate an injured leg to help reduce swelling and/or immobilise it until assistance can arrive. They can also be utlised to secure a splint.
In an emergency situation and with a bit of improvisation, triangular bandages can be utilised as a tourniquet.
